Because Oracle stopped supporting this utility so it’s very hard to find the error reason.
In my case I use it on Windows 7 32bit and it work properly.

I am using R16.2 Version of primavera. While exporting from primavera to MS projects , MPX file is getting created. Iam using MSP 2016 version where I am unable to open the file. Kindly provide solution .

If you use MSP 2016, I suggest you export from P6 to MSP 2016 in XML format. It’s more compatible.

i’ve successfully converted and imported to P6. However, the lead and lag time in predecessor are not same after conversion. For example, FS+20days become FS+3days; FS-6days become FS-1day
LikeLike
I guess because of the calendar which was used to calculate lag/lead duration.
MS Project uses the Successor calendar for lead and lag calculation, whereas P6 has the option for predecessor, successor, project or 24 hour calendar. If the P6 schedule is set with an option that is not similar to the MS Project option then the same result may not be achieved.

How do I set the Successor calendar in P6 (as default?) prior importing project from MPX? Because by default the MPX that imported into P6 is using Predecessor calendar and all the lead/lag time will run off immediately upon imported.

It is apparently because of calendar definition (how many hour per day) different between P6 and MS Project.
This issue need to be researched thoroughly to have a solution.
Maybe in future I will provide this support service.
